Design Brief

The 鈥Save Water Campaign 2013鈥 was a concept design competition that we decided to partake in given its drive to push for a聽water-saving movement, which we found meaningful.

The competition concept was divided into three parts, given聽(1)聽A logo must be derived,聽(2)聽An Attitudes Poster needed to be created to breakdown the current situation of water usage, and聽(3)聽A 鈥楾ake Action鈥 Poster was also needed to create awareness and encourage others to take action on reducing their water consumption.

After the brand identity design that we have created in a separate post, we now follow up on our work with the second part, which focuses on creating the 鈥Attitudes鈥 infographic poster for the brand.

When we were given a sizeable bulk of content regarding information about water-consumption, as well as the potential three solutions we are proposing by our internal team, and given that there was a limitation that we have to fit all of these content within an A4-based design layout, there proved to be an apparent challenge that we had to overcome.

With some determination and re-negotiations, we managed to size down our copywriting and reach a comfortable tipping point between context and design. We first filled up the context of the infographic, before overlaying additional yet related graphics to add emphasis to our pitch.

Eventually, our team had likened with the outcome of the product of our work for this particular poster. We sincerely hope it will help turn heads and make viewers take a second look at the information we would like to put across for this campaign.
