Having a new idea coming out right from the oven from NexFAD Technologies, PanPal was touted as their next big gameplay as they enter the growingly-popular mobile app store market in late 2012.
Seeing a gap in the market of food recipes, PanPal came in as an interesting concept that took our breath away. We were quite eager to collaborate with the team as it spelled so much potential in what new innovations that it can bring to amateur and senior cooks.
Our role coming in was to mainly support the team in coming up with the concept design of the User Interface (UI) as well as the User Experience (UX) flow of the mobile app. After some brief research into this unexplored field in cooking for us, we managed to come up with some ideas and worked with the team to iron out potential technical incompatibilities and coding expectations.
Eventually, we worked out a design that provides a strong focus on the food creation processes as requested by the NexFAD, as well as an attention to detail on the social interactive interfaces, to help generate continued user usage for app sustainability purposes.
Overall, our prototype design was well received by NexFAD and we delivered our work in 2012 prior to the initiation of the app development processes.
