Being the parent company of LABELHOUSECREATIVES, we were honored that we were chosen to arrange for the rebranding for ROBERRYARTS STUDIOS, the original branding and photography services company before we were eventually conceptualized.
The notion behind the brand was initially conceptualized to be an extension of our Founder, Mr. Robert Chai. The brand came out from a marriage between his love for digital arts and to formulate something that takes just a little brick off his name, rather than something that just fully represented himself.
Eventually, the brand came about to ‘ROBERRY-ARTS‘, where the association came about between ‘robert‘ and simply ‘arts‘.
Being a label with the original intent to be printed as a tab alongside the apparel designed by our Founder himself, Robert wanted a design that was simple, striking, yet flexible enough to be blended into various entities of products or other collaterals used for marketing purposes.
Soon, besides the creation of the squarish-based tab icon, a sketchy ‘roberryarts’ signature in small, cursive digital typeface was also custom-created, with the direction from Robert himself, to add a tint of personalization to the brand and form a more sincere connection with the clients the brand would eventually come into contact with in the future.
The use of the slightly-darken yellow attempts to portray the enthusiastic, fun and happy image that Robert always portrayed in his interactions with clients and through the expressions of his work. It is also a tone that was flexible enough to be placed in various areas of collaterals and provided a subtle yet slightly-striking image for the brand to stand out, just like what our founder has intended.
We are sincerely glad that the final outcome of the brand has stood through the test of mere time and has been a mainstay in the minds of the small, private exchange of groups that the brand has come in contact with over the very young age of the brand.
