Print // Apparel // NPSU // FOC Camp Chalope Shirt 0405
This year, the Ngee Ann Polytechnic Students’ Union gave us a very niche assignment to help them design their new-camp-initiative-concept-plan where all reigns of freedom was given to us to explore new design ideas that we may come up for their event.
Part of this new overhaul included the design of the FOC Camp Chalope Shirt 0405, which was meant to represent a bold difference from previously-standardised camp shirts at that time.
To help depict this ‘boldness‘ and setting this year’s design apart, we first came up with the bold shirt colours that are highly contrast between the two sets we were tasked to design. Accompanying that, we also felt that to entice individuals to be excited to keep on wearing this apparel for years to come, it should make significant attempts to ‘hide the core-branding of the institution, yet include a trendy design where the wearer would not mind wearing it as part of their everyday wear.’
At the end of the day, after multiple sessions of iterations, we finally came up with a sort-of ‘soccer-team-jersey‘ lookalike. Coupled with the contrasting colours, of black and red, the outcome designs really stood out and fully fulfilled what the client was expecting of the work that they wanted us to fulfil.
