Design Brief

Following a very successful year in 2004, the Ngee Ann Polytechnic Students’ Union proposed to us regarding a renewed chance to help them design their NPSU Freshmen Orientation Camps (FOC) FOC Camp Odyssey Shirt 0506.

With their new event storyline that ran along the lines of “Odyssey“, as a journey that all event goers will go through as a phase together and to grow together as one big fun-filled family.

The narrative also revolved around a belief for this group, where despite varying paths, directions or waypoints that each individual may experience in life that at the end of the day, as everyone make this voyage together as one, is what truly mattered the most.

We were particularly moved by this year’s storyline yet there were no doubt challenges for us to create a design that may best depict the intent of the theme, while still making a a design that is generalised and can be easily understood by anyone.

At the end of the day, we took a shot at the design and may agree it is not the best of our works, as the quality of the custom-color print outcome wasn’t as ideal as expected and it is our belief that we could have done more. However, we believe that this is a worthy story to put up despite our flaws, so that it will motivate us to do a better job next time!
